Fall Presentation 08
Method:
At this point I am exploring different medias like Video-Art, Net-Art, Photography, Design and Painting. The main concept behind all these kind of works or what will consequently tied them together will be that of consuming culture in Puerto Rico and the influence the global market have in our culture. Most of my work will be presented on the internet as video art and net art relying on coding as the vehicle of presentation. I am still on the process of decontextualizing images and content from institutional media like television, newspaper, magazines and making a new story on what they present.
My studio project will be composed of many sources and many projects that may consequently make a full statement and a comment on identity and how consumerism shape it, supplanting the real with a copy that becomes what we see, what we live and what we believe.
Problems:
Problems I am having? At this moment the main situation I have to resolve is how to find a browser redirection technique that suit what i want in may work, mostly because some of my projects requires a movie type presentation but not using a movie media like Quicktime or Mpg but code, Just HTML and Javascript without affecting the visibility of the media.
